OK,
Just dragged myself back home from "one Great" weekend in San Diego as the Sox came to Petco Field and San Diego and showed the west coast guys how it's done back East My 2 brothers and I drove down and met up with both the S.D and O.C Red Sox groups...
What a great time, the city of San Diego was in complete control by Red Sox nation, quite the scene to see, every bar, restaurant and St. was awash in red and green, the locals did not know what hit them and as you can imagine none too pleased with the situation, except for the proprieters who made a killing on Sox fans as they are not nothing is not BIG consumers...
What a great field Petco is, new open and fun, they have a freakin beach in center field where kids play during the game and the sights you see in San Diego are Amazing, bring on the hot local weather and you can imagine the scene..
They had their bigggest and loudest crowds ever in the new stadium from all local accounts and 2 great teams went at it good, Sat was depressing but we more than drowned our sorrows before during and after as the "Gaslamp District" is their version of Fanuel Hall, the stadium is right in the middle of it and it rocks all night..
Yankess lost again today Sox win.... 11 1/2 up....pretty sweet
if any Sox fans have not seen this site yet you have to check it out:
The "Wicked pissah summer preview"...classic...wicked pissah...
Glad to hear you were leading Red Sox nation out west. I've been in San Diego three times this year and still haven't been to a game, sounds like I need to. So after seeing that stadium, are you on the "Restore Fenway" side or the "tear it down" side?
