I have an angling cat permit can someone point me in the direction of the saftry equip. regs required for my vessel

you don't sell your catch. you need only regular safty equip. life jackets,flares,thow ring etc. sell yr fish and be prepaired to dish out aprok $8 k more. tommy

thats what i thought but my dads no it all friend says that no matter what if you go offshore into fed waters than you have to have life rafts, epirbs, survival suits and all that stuff....i said no he said you better check again otherwise your gonna get fined.....so i thought i'd ask....tnanks for reiterating what i already knew

Tell your dads friends to show you the regs in writing.

That being said just because you are not bound by law to have some of that equipment does not mean you should not have it. Saftey is always the first consideration when going off shore.
