    Prayers for Zoe

Those that know me, know what my dogs mean to me.

As i type this my baby girl Zoe an 18 month old APBT is being rushed into emergency surgery to remove an unknown obstruction from her digestive system and was given a 50/50 chance of survival. Our vet tells us this is very serious and to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Any and all prayers and positive thoughts for my baby girl are welcome and appreciated.

My thoughts are with you. I've been in the same situation before and know how difficult it is.

    John,

I will pray for you and Zoe. Keep your chin up and be positive. My Lab
had emergency surgery to remove a baseball (the leather went right through
but the string tied up his intestines). Three days after the operation the biggest
challenge we faced was keeping him from playing with the kids in the front yard.

Zoe will bounce back quickly. She is a healthy, strong girl (judging by the pictures).
    Keep the faith.

    Mike

It has been a long sleepless night, and a roller coaster of emotions. At 3:30 am this morning the surgeon at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in RI informed me that all the prayers and hoping for the best worked, and all the preparing for the worst was for not. I got my birthday wish today. As I turned 47 I was given back my sweet little pit-bull. 5 lbs lighter, more holes than a pin cushion, a bunch of new blood, and a bunch of staples and stitches that she didn’t have before, but other than that...... it's all good.
She will need to spend a few days in the hospital, but should be home by Thursday.

They say pit bulls don’t feel pain, never ever give up, never back down from a fight, and are fighters to the end.

If this is true then today I Thank God For what the PitBull is. Every one of those traits is exactly what she needed to survive this.

Mike, Anthony, Kevin, John, and Cape Fisherman. Zoe and I both thank you for all the positive thought and prayers.

    Hey Paco,

Sorry to hear Zoe and your family had to go through this, but relieved to hear the outcome. I know I would feel the same about Brady and do whatever it takes. Continued prayers for a speedy recovery for Zoe.
