Both feel strongly about the flawed methods for establishing the fisheries legislation, and the short time frame to implement the changes.
The current legislation will create undue economic stress in the recreational fisheries when all jobs in bait and
tackle shops, boat dealers and manufacturers, marine products, fishing gear manufacturing, and tourism are just coming out of the worst economic climate in our lifetime.
Gary urges all fishermen to take the day Feb. 24 to join thousands of recreational and commercial
fishermen in Washington to support wide Congressional calls for immediate changes to the MSA.
