Was out on monday, not alot going on, pogies were hard to come by for alot of guys, we trolled bars and sluggos from the sw corner up to through the notch and back down for 5 hrs or so, radio chatter was similar, heard one guy released a 66in that took a pogey, bunch of guys headed to the cod grounds around noon. SE corner I heard had a pretty good whale show going on, but not much fish action from what I heard.

monday east of chatham to BC was very quiet - minimal bait

I had a mixed bag of livies on Monday.

Trolled from the SWC, to the notch, to the high ground to the SEC for the whale show. Found some big marks half way between SEC and SWC.

Started fishing the livies there and no luck. There were some fish caught further south. I know of 1 boat that got 2 and another boat that got 3, none were keepers.

Got a slob bass at the Race for dinner on a black jig. Headed into the bay to look for footballs, like a lake in there for the first half of the ride.

No footballs. Haven't seen a football in the bay since early July and they were 3 miles outside GH. Had Tues off, but decided to go to work since fishing sucked. Would rather save the days for October.

Fished Mon. and had 1 hit on the kite. Slow day!!! Lots of Blue dogs around.

We got one 58" on a pogie around 7:30 in the am down the sw.

We were running just ahead of a "yellow" Aquasport all the way in from the bank to the fore river bridge. Could that have been you?

I was thinking about heading out tomorrow but now I'm not so sure... maybe the front passing through and cooler temps will ignite the bite... >insert Backman YDKIYDG addage here<

Nothing SW Corner to SE Corner except for the whales at the SE Corner and a mola mola on the way in.

...for the reports. It's funny how different the seasons can be: last year all the talk to this point seemed to be about PH Bar and then the BE. This year I've barely heard boo about those spots...

All that said, I'm very much looking forward to the next 2+ months!
