Please vote Demodcrat on Tuesday

I know this will fall on many dearf ears here, but I am urging those of you who have not made up your minds to vote for Martha Coakley on Tuesday.

To me, the ultimate issue is the health of the fishery.

Ultimately, the Democrats are doing a better job protecting the fishery than the Republicans.

I think Scott Brown will be a powerful advocate for Omega Protein, Longliners and Purse Seiners.

If you are a recreational fisherman and are interested in a long term fishery, I'd ask you to consider voting blue on Tuesday. Even if you are dyed-in-the-wool GOP, the fishery is too important to endanger over party politics.

I had a funny feeling I might get some disagreement with my post.

The way I see it (and I respect that many of you disagree) is that MPAs, while troubling, are far better than letting the stock fall below critical levels.

After all, what good is it to be able to fish anywhere you'd like if there are no fish?

Plus, if I get one more Scott Brown automated call at my house tonight, I will scream.
