Save your money and get a Tiburon. Shimanos are cheap, in price and quality. The automatic 2-speed is just fantastic. Every part is super-high quality, for $600 it just can't be beat. And I don't think I've ever cranked on a nicer handle. Its like a winch...

    Reel Comparison

I have fished and own Penn (30s and old style 130s), accurate Boss 665 and 50w and Shimano Tiagra 30 and 50. I like the accurates best - they are absolutely bullet proof but they are expensive. I find the Tiagras to be the best all around value.

Just picked up an old Fin-nor 12/0 and am going to fish it this coming year - its an old reel but this thing is awesome! Any comments on the old Fin-nor reels? Also just checked out the Tiburon on-line - had never heard of it before - looks well engineered.

    Best,

    TG
