Penn reel reanodizing

My 10-15 year old 30's and 50's need both professional maintenance as well as renanodizing from 10 years of boat rash.

Anyone local do this or do I have to ship back to the factory?

How about contacting Penn direct? Maybe if you do the disassembly work and send the frames and side plates they will do it for a small lot charge.

I do know from experience that "gold" does not mean you will get the same color/shade from all plating companies. I had some gold clamp on rod holders done that came out orange/gold.....absolutely ugly

Also the grade of alum can vary the shade and color.

Backman, Try electro polishing systems in Plymouth, ma on Aldrin rd. Ask for Matt (he is a fisherman also) he can do it but more importantly he will be able to tell you if it will come out alright.
