    Party Boat Suggestions

Oh how I wish this was a fishing report...Soon enough...
A friend asked me about party boats on the south shore to take 20 guys fishing in April. I have never gone on a party boat and have little knowledge other than they are typically jiggin the bottom. Any suggestions from the group on boats would be much appreciated. Thanks, Kevin

stay away from captain johns. You get what you pay for with them. They put 80 people on the all day boat fishing for cod.

I recommend the Lady K out of plymouth. Limited load trips with 15 people for $80 a head. I have always had a good trip. Or if you want to drive up to NH fish with eastmans.

I don't want to bash anybody but I agree stay away from Captain John. I have never had a good trip on any of the times(7 or 8) that I have sailed with them. I heartily suggest Walsh's sportfishing out of Lynn. Great Capt and he will put you on fish. Yankee fleet out of Gloucester is my second choice. I have had many a good trip on the Patriot. This is my 2 cents and you I hope you take my advise. You will be glad you did. Giggy

    Great insight

Looks like the Lady K gets the vote, since they are restricted to the South shore.

Really appreciate everyone's thoughts on this.

Maybe I'll take my two young boys out for a day of jiggin. Honestly, it never crossed my mind to go on a party boat like that, but the kids would probably love it.

    Tight lines. KC

you could always also hire 3 private 6-pack boats. It is a little more expensive but always more productive and more personal. The only downside is that your party would be split up among the boats, but more than likely you would be all fishing within shouting distance of each other. Ive done it in the past with my co-workers and set up a day long boat to boat tournament. But If you have your heart set on a legit partyy boat, Walshes gets my vote. Fred

Good idea on the boat tourney, that's what I did on my Bach party. I am not familiar with Walshes. Where are they?

Walsh's in Lynn, but last I heard (second hand) they were having engine issues.
