    Parker boats

Does anyone fish a 25 foot Parker? I have been looking at them and they seem to be a great platform for Tuna. That being said I would like to hear from some owners. I also noticed that they offer a deep V & a modifyed V. Has any compared the two? Thanks Jesse

I fished on a buddies mod V out of NJ for tuna for 2 years. I would suggest going with a full V over the mod, With the Cabin and most of the weight forward the mod would pound the crap outta yain most conditions. They do fish nice, plenty of cockpit space for a 25fter, my only real complaint was the beating your body took at times. just my .02cents.

I have a deep vee and love it!

The pilot house is great in all weather, mine is the extended model which works out well for the family.

I have fished the El Mar and it is a sweet boat. Nice roomy pilot house and a big dance floor !
It would make a great tuna boat, if only I could get the captain to take me out fishing for them !

I have a 25 dvsc with a io fuel injected Volvo Duoprop. 173 gallon tank, outriggers, gin pole, just a no frills fish killing machine. I LOVE THE BOAT. Dryest boat I have ever owned. That said there are few things I would fix if I could. They lack storage space. Not the best trolling boat as the steering tracks left and right at slow speeds, still in my opinion the best small boat for the cash if all you want to do is fish.
New England waters are perfect for pilot house boats, we always get a kick out the cc crowd freezing their soaked asses off early/late in the season. I wish it was bigger but for the size range hard to beat for the money. Next season pm me and I'll take you for a test drive.

Interesting observation, I do not experience that at all, but I have twin 200's on a bracket.

My previous boat, Whitewater 25 had a single with a 24 degree Deep Vee, that thing would wobble like a drunk going up the channel.

They are no frills, you add what you want.

Here is some video of a 2320 in 2-4's not bad and dry.

Just remember Parker offers a deep vee (21 degree) and modified vee. (14-16 degree) Know which one you are buying or riding on, very different boats.

Here is another nice one. 2520 deep-vee open back

I was considering a parker in years past and did a shit ton of research on the hulls. Everyone I spoke to INSISTED that the deep v was the hull to go with. There is a VERY nicely equipped parker that I believe is still for sale- Contact Ron @ black hull charters- It has been customized to the tits and is fully set up for tuna killin. Capt Curt has also owned a parker and may be able to chime in with some help.
