Outer Butter - LiL Tales

Left Niantic around 2 pm, planned on sharking close to Montauk, instead went to Little Fish Tales looking for tuna, just falsies, headed back to Outter Butter set up a slick, first bule showed up in a 1/2 hr, just went nuts after that, landed atleaste 15-20 blue, lost 5 in the fight. All ranged from 6'-10' It always good to catch any fish , but it would have been nice to grab a Mako or something eatable.

Had problems with one engine, then the other started acting up, probably should not have even gone, but it ended up being a great trip. Most importantly we got home safe.

Was anyone else in that area Saturday night ? I do not know what it was, and I am NOT saying or implying it was a UFO, but the sky was perfectly clear, you could see all the starts, after a few hrs of darkness, there was one cylinder shaped cloud with one hell of a bright light in it, after 4-5 min it was gone cloud and all. When I got back to the marina, one of my friend was in that area, he did see it also. LET ME BE CLEAR I AM NOT NUTS, I DO NOT BELIEVE IN UFO'S, I AM NOT SAYING ANYONE WAS VISITING US OR I WAS ABDUCTED, THERE WERE NO EXPERMENTS, I DID NOT SEE ELVIS OR HOFFA, just wondering what it was.

Hope everyone had a good weekend amd was safe........

Hey Hooker, I think there was a post over in one of the other forums about a rocket launch that was designed to create a cloud of ice crystals in the sub-space atmosphere? Don't hold me to the details, but you may want to look for that post. Might be what you saw.

Myself and 12 of my friends saw the exact same thing from our back yard in Hopkinton MA. It was sometime around 8:00-8:30. We too thought it was nuts. A cone shape light shining straight up through a cloud and after a few minutes or so it was gone.

Understood to be a three stage rocket launched from VA as part of a research project. Purpose of the project was to create some type of cloud formation. Apparently was quite spectacular according to all accounts
