I'm sitting on a plane now. I'll be flying over the edge in about 30 minutes.

I'm game for a buddy boat run ESPECIALLY if we have some recon via air that shows life. There is some 68 degree water up against some 41 degree stuff, I'd like to drag some gear along. Boat and gear is ready, crew is standing by.

    cooold long ride

guys - I've done June 4th and June 6th to Atlantis and Veatch respectively in a closed boat as well as at least 6 late June trips. Its a loooooooooong coooooooooooold ride over a lot of 50 degree water. Oceano is further, colder and a nastier ride. You really want to be in an enclosed boat because your going to get wet somewhere on the way out going across 40 miles of shoal water.

Beg, borrow or steal a downeast; load up the cooler w/ steak tips and potato's; steam out at a nice leisurely and fuel wise 16 or 18 knots; fire up the barby and make a weekend of it.

Otherwise I'd wait 6 weeks till the chances and weather are better.

Well, it's not oceanographers but has anyone noticed the filiment that is coming up to the 500 line between block and west atlantis? There is 65 degree water sitting on the 500 and 69 just to the south. It's pushing north and moving west.......

The weather is crap through the weekend, but by next week things may be interesting.
