Ocean City NJ report

Was off the beach on Sat. 40 feet of water off Lucy in Margate. Had 34 fish. Some big croakers and a lot of spike weakfish. Had 1 14 inch and severeal barely 13. Released all but had a nice day. I've never had good luck cooking croakers. Anyone got a good recipe. Maybe next time I'll keep a couple

Seems like things are picking up in NJ. I'll be hitting Manasquan this weekend if the weather keeps me from Montauk.

Can't wait for the bass to roll in thick here!

Sounds like you had a great trip, and I always wondered about those croakers too. I know they make good tuna baits!

I kept a few in the past, and wished I hadn't. A lot of work for a little meat. I remember frying them and it wasn't the best
