The one we saw was a mile or two straight out from the canal @ 10:30am. Always strange to see them actually in the canal, but I guess they have to migrate too.
Thanks for the details. We were at FL at slack, but nothing doing.

Hey Mike
Wow- made for a good story and great action.....how about that top water running giant??? Wow- sounds like you guys almost got showered from the tail splash
Say, I'm eye-ballin' this weekend to trailer down to Scituate for either Sat /Sun- seas depending....but I don't see much going on listening to everyone. Seas aren't cooperating for this w/e either.
Stay in touch,
Rich
Rich,
There are fish around in reasonable numbers. But they are spread out and picky on what they bite. The guys who have it dialed in (like our very fine guides on this site) are doing very well. The weekend warriors like me, need some luck and being in the right place at the right time.
I paid some dues this year with a lot of frustration. Dropping those fish doesn't help my frustration level. But it sure as heck beats no hook ups at all.... And every trip, fishless or not, I get better.
If you want to and mother nature let's you, then go for it. The odds for us weekend warriors are worse than 50/50 judging by reports and radio traffic. But it sure beats yard work!!!
Mike
