    Not My Day

Little slow for most on the bank. We hooked two fish and landed a 71 inch fish. There were some nice fish caught including a boat that trolled up two fish in the mid 80 inch range.

John Thanks for all your help I have a lot of respect for your fishing experience and I am glad we are getting to know each other. Your values for helping everyone else is exceptional. I see you are a guy with a lot of integrity.

In case anyone reading this post does not know "Skippy" he is a class act and has caught more fish over 73" than anyone else out on the Bank. If you are a serious fisherman give him a call or PM him to set up a trip. John is the Original Tuna Cowboy and a pretty good Pogie wrangler too

PS; Take my money when I offer it. It is the least I can do and it makes me feel better.

Good guy as long as you are a charter fisherman. Try calling the shop on a Monday to let them know you would like pogies and be told by his Mom that "YOU ARE ON THE LIST", show up on a Friday at 4AM in Duxbury Harbor, listen to the silence on the radio while repeatedly hailing "Iron Skippy" and then watch him leave the harbor at 7AM with his clients.

I use Cullen and the kids in Scituate for Pogies now. At least they have the courtesy to not ignore your calls.

GREG you said that perfect john is one of the nicest tuna fisherman i have ever met, his care for helping people is incredable. John has made me the tuna fisherman i am today he gives people so many good tips and and is not afraid to say where he catches his fish, honestly after thinking about it its because he is soo good at catching CHARLIE he doesnt care about giving spots away 3 days ago i called him to buy bait and he only had 3 keepers in the boat '' not bad'' LOL. I also agree that he should take more money from me cause when your on the bank with no bait and john helps you out i want to give him all the money in my pocket. Thanks SKIPPY for all the help. Jimmy from hingham boat name contagious.

Here is an idea. If you think catching pogies is easy then why not wake yourself and your lazy ass crew up and hour or two earlier and go net them yourself! That works alot better than crying about it on the internet.

Ask a charter captain on this board how many cell phone messages they have tallied up on a daily basis when they return from fishing. In John's case, add the shop's load of guys looking for bait. Having a plan B to acquire bait should be SOP.

I expected nothing less than this type of answer.

Yes, now when I am planning a trip and have the time I get up at 2AM and catch my own bait.

While you guys plan on patting each other on the back then you should also be willing to take the negative comments on here as well. If you want to start your own self promotion then open up a website where you can not get a negative reply.

There is not much PLAN 'B' when you are sitting in Duxbury harbor expecting to have bait after calling 4 days in advance and watching bait being handed out to other boats that come into the harbor over an hour later.

You completely missed the point, if you don't have the bait then it is pretty simple to get on the radio and say so.

Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me, that's my approach and as I stated I now use reliable sources who are apply good business practice in replying to their clientel.

If you don't like the facts then you should not have started this self promotional posting.
