Not a Fishing Report

Up at 4:30, on the boat at 5:30, starboard motor will not turn over at 5:35, off the boat at 5:45, boat out of the water at 6:30, motor guy called at 7:00. Can anyone tell me what we missed on this beautiful day either in CCB or south of the Vineyard (destination was still under debate when the cursing started). Thanks.

Wish I had an answer for you.
Up at 3am, out the door at 315am.
Reading text from my cousin at 317am saying NOAA
changed its mind overnight.
Pulled over into parking lot at 320am and called crew.
Cancelled trip at 327am due to predicted NE winds and
lack of Fishweather functionality.
Fast forward to 830am:
receive email from cousin with a link to radar showing
nasty storm cell moving east to west from NY/NJ toward the canyons.
210pm: Nantucket buoy reports North wind at 1.9kts with a 10 sec swell.
Hope you get that motor situation figured out soon. I know an excellent Yammie mechanic in Dartmouth if you need one.

FWIW, I almost always have trouble with Fishweather when I do the early morning last minute check.... maybe they are doing maintence or map updates or something in the wee hours.

It is unfortunate, because I would really love to "see" cells moving right before I leave.

Sorry to hear it - I was wondering why you were pulling into your parking area early this am while I was going for coffee.

We were standing on the dock at 4am deciding, Fishweather down, Intellicast and NOAA changed forecast between bedtime at 10pm and docktime at 4am. Looked the NE 10-15, seas 3-5 and pulled plug.

Got home getting into bed, why did I recheck it????---now at 530am NOAA changed to SW-W variable and Intellicast variable---WTF!!!!!!

Fixed things on boat that I have meant to get down for weeks so made up for it...
