    not a bad day

Left Green Harbor around noon sat. hit east of the bank, filled the cooler with some nice cod and one haddock. Then headed to the sw corner to troll some slug-gos . After an hour of trolling line goes tight not taking line or nothing. thought it was a blue fish. Started cranking line in then bang, game on. Fish almost spools 80w . filled the reel back up fish empties the reel. Back and forth for two and a half hours, in the end line ends up chaffing off. It was quite the experience, that was my first big fish hook up. Fighting a fish in the dark is a challenge to say the least. Oh well maybe next time!!!

I wonder why the fish swam with the boat for a while until it dumped!

Didn't know he was hooked. Samething has happened to me a few times trolling Ronz's where the fish is brought right up to the boat within 50' before it realizes something aint right.
