Damm do I feel snake bit!!! With the kids out of sports and school (sometimes I think sports take more time than school...) I finally get to get out for some tuna.

On Saturday I head north and find all the life we could ever want. Tuna in standard sizes breaking every where. To make a short story long... we trolled and cast everything in the boat in and around them. But they were not eating what we were serving. Since we didn't have live bait or a kite, the only thing we didn't try was run and gun casting.... Oh well not my day.

Little did I know that Saturday was the fishing highlight of the weekend. On Sunday, after the full family day trip to Cuttyhunk, I came back to: prep my boat for her first tuna trip of the year. I set drags, rigged, packed, made sandwiches, bought ice and ballys, pack clothes and sleeping bags for 3 boys, double checked the safety gear and was off to the fire works.

At 3 am on Monday, I get the three boys out of bed and drive to the boat. Arriving at the harbor I found my boat high and dry in her 3rd row rack. (Honest mistake by the marina so I will leave their name out of it). Gggrrrrr!! Back to bed.

Trying to make lemonade out of lemons I pack up the boss and the girls and headed to Edgartown for lunch. Great boating weekend with "Good Daddy day trips" to Edgartown and Cuttyhunk. Crap weekend for fish killin....

Next time, next time... not every trip is a blood bath.
