IMO, it's some of the best, if not the best, seafood in Newport. It's about a 15 minute walk from Newport Marina. It's a small place and the atmosphere is casual.....but bring your piggy bank,it's not cheap.

Thanks for the info....

Only one problem.... I hate fish!!!!

I didn't see anything on the menu that wasn't fish.

Impress the Admiral???? Hell, I'm already taking her out on the boat for 2 weeks..... she should be taking me out to dinner.

Awesome Band to See

If you're looking for something fun to do at night, check to see if a band called Those Guys are playing when you are there. Usually they play at the Gas Lamp or a couple of other places right on the main strip of all the restaruants and bars. We saw them for the first time on Block Island and then went to Newport just to see them again.

They're an awesome cover band, so if you're into that type of thing they're definitely worth seeing. Their website is: www.thoseguysnpt.com

Newport

If your looking for music the Newport Blues Cafe has the best top acts. They also have a restaurant so u may get a package. call or e-mail them www.newportblues.com . Lucia's has the very best Italian anywhere and it's BYOB. Both are right across from the marina. Awsome off the wall food is Salvation Cafe about 1/2 mi. walk on Broadway. If you want a burger or just fun food Brick Alley or Yesterdays, Yesterdays has a better beer menu. The Red Parrot is also pretty good too. Stay away from the restaurants right arount the marina / wharf aera the food is so-so and you pay big money. July is a good month, My Moms the 24th and i'm the 26th. So Happy Birthday and have a great time.. Mitch

If you don't want to break the bank on eating The Red Parrot or White Rhino are other great restaurants. The Red Parrot is one of my favorite restaurants in Newport and the food is AWESOME! The drinks are even better! The rhino turns into a club type bar after hours as well as the blues bar-->always an awesome live band playing, especially in the summer months!

Thanks,

We left Chopper with my Brother-In-Law... he has a 3 year old yellow. The two of them togeather for two weeks..... I feel sorry for my brother in law and his family

I was just punching some numbers into my machine... it will be nice to only have to run 65-70 miles to get to the deep... I have to run over 100 from my home port.
