got a late afternoon call to fish the merrimac tuesday night, wednesday morning. got to the ramp around midnight and begun fishing as soon as we get past the outskirts of the harbor. fishing lightweight (12lb) using swimmers and plugs. fished until 6am, then drove back to boston to go to work by 830. caught all sizes of fish, from schoolies up to 41". my biggest was 38"...biggest fish for me so far this year. not exactly sure how many fish were caught in 33"-41", but there were a lot. lost a big fish due to the hook straightening out. man, that really pissed me off!!! never got a good look at her, but judging by the sound of the splash when she attacked the lure and during the fight, i missed a big one!! landed a 36" as well. an exciting night/morning to say the least.. attached pic is the 41" being measured.
