Shortly, everyone here will inform you that there are many fish around now, they have just moved to different areas because forage is no longer available on the traditional fishing grounds. There is certainly a great deal of truth to this. But there is no denying the fact that ABT stocks have been depleted from decades of over fishing on both sides of the Atlantic.

While I think your tone may be a slight bit condescending, I am glad you at least mentioned the bait issue, because I can assure you that is a driving factor in the lack of fish in some of the places you mentioned and elsewhere. It is not some crazy theory people in our fishery put out there to try and make excuses- its the truth. Say what you want, but there are a lot of fish out there and its only going to get better in the coming years. Shutting down fishing for 5 years is completely unnecessary, I am surprised to even have people on here talking like that in the wake of the changes that have been occurring on the other side.
