    New mass fishing tournament

I am happy to announce the first annual massachusetts dogfish tournament.

This is a year long tournament, entry fee is $20 per angler
Tournament starts april 1st and ends november 30th.
Prizes will be awarded to those that catch the most dogfish throughout the season.
1st place gets 50% of total money+and two no cover charge admissions to the Foxy Lady in Brockton
    2nd place gets 30%
    3rd place gets 20%

To prove the quantity of dogfish landed, the tails must be removed, and submitted to official dogfish tourney staff members who will be available on the north shore, boston, south shore, lower cape and upper cape areas for your convenience.

I think this could work guys! thin out the herd and make a buck???!!! Now what to do with all those tails........

Are all gear types allowed in this tournament? If it is restricted to rod and reel, I have to see myself as one of the favorites. Also, what if we really sell the dogs, can that still count if we provide the landing slip?

sure, official landing reports will count- the whole idea is to help "controll" the species, with a little competition and prize money thrown in

    could be a problem

If you realy want to have a tournament regarding sharks you need to get a permit. I do not think it would be hard but to make it real you have to do it.
