Yes, some of the boats have been doing very well and some struggle to find the fish. Like they say 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish. The baccala are there now, if you can find them.

Yo Shoe: Thanks, I have been thinking about rigging one up with 15" or 18" shells for you guys that get a shot a the giants. We had one two years ago on an 80 stand up and fought it for 2 1/2 hours. I'll say she was 800lbs , until the hook pullled about the third time we had her to the boat. If I do I'll send you one. E-mail your address on a P -message. Tommy V

Tommy - if the boat is in by the end of this week, I might shoot out there as well. Let me know if you are going.

Shoe-

Think I saw you pass by Block the other day... ...I'm 19 miles NW of Block right behind Fishers Island....It's usually a mixed bag in Block Is Sound...usually it's the fog that gets you first...but it can get sporty anywhere around Block anytime of year...

If you did see us, we would have been the ones in lifejackets . We were on the south side, and the NE waves meeting the edge and the westerly current turned the area into a washing machine of 8-10's so close together that kicking in and out of gear (on a 31) would bury the bow on the next wave. It was not the best time that we've ever had to say the least. Luckily we didn't have any fog to deal with, so I guess we had that going for us... which is nice.
