SHOE... Is this the year we see the blue boat trolling?
LOL. I don't think you'll ever see the blue boat trolling, but I'll be giving it hell on the new Fired Up.

Wow!...can't believe I just saw this!..obviously I've been working too hard lately!

Anyway....everyone calls me JD....real name is James Dean.....no kidding.... grew up in NC and fished fresh water for catfish, breem, spots, etc. Fished offshore a little for spanish and kings back in the day and then got caught up in the business world for about 20 years. Been living in the northeast since 1990. About four years ago, gave myself a boat for a divorce present......that's where it all "really" got ugly....

Now I live in Oxford, CT and keep my boat at Spicers Marina in Noank, CT. The Maggie B is a 1989 Ocean 44 SS with J&T 671-TI's. I've spent the last two years getting her set up for offshore fishing and trying to learn as much as I can about this game. Last year did about 7 canyon trips....goal is to double that this year. Looking at some early season ovenighters in June for big eye and swordfish. Never caught a big eye and only got one small swordie under my belt so far.

Fished with a lot of guys here off SFC north and south....including Makowish, Madchark, Steve76, Box, Glenn W, the Beast, Dink Bait, Biebs, Pitch Bait, Bite Me, Overboard, Capt-D, Dave Sikorski...and I'm sure I'm leaving a few out. I've fished a few billfish tournaments, the Montauk Marine Basin shark tourney and will be fishing the Star Island this year...... I'm still on a steep part of the learning curve. This year I hope to spend a LOT more time in the cockpit instead of in the engine room...

I usually put together make up trips for our canyon runs and overnighters, so If anyone might be interested ...let me know.

Oh yea...I do speak yankee and southern...so if ayone needs a translator....

Nick, Im 19, been fishin my whole life. This past spring I became a Licensed USCG Master. Grew up fishing the southshore of Long Island and the offshore canyons. Started concentrating my efforts in Montauk the past two years. May through July Im bassin, August through November Im tunafishing and wreck fishing. Ive been mating on a 47' Viking for the past two seasons and will probably be running it part-time this season; as well as running a another boat parttime. I surffish, boatfish, spearfish, and build lures in my spare time...

Lookin foward to heading up to NH july/aug to hunt some giants with T-man...

Hi - I'm Jay, 34 live in Portsmouth, RI. Grew up on the cape and fish my dad's 31 duffy Laura-Jay out of Sandwich. Dad and Granddad had been tuna fishing since the stoneages, so they started dragging me offshore as soon as I could walk. Like everyone here, hopelessly addicted. My real job, I work for a drug company, but I crew charters and fish as much as possible, and I finally got my license this winter so I can run my own trips too. Luckily, I have a somewhat understanding wife (she understands more when I hand her my tips).
I know a couple of guys here from other boards - I post as BigJay (i'm not very creative), but that name was already taken here.
