I'm Greg. Live in NYC. I've been fishing ever since I could hold a rod. I'm now 34. I've worked on boats for the past 12 years. Some head boats and a lot of smaller charters. I fish for everything that swims. Form striper, fluke and blues to marlin, sails and swords. Togs, sea bass, and porgies to wahoo, grouper and Africans. You name it I'll try like hell to catch it. I work down in Calabash, North Carolina on a head boat from March-November. We run 60+ nm out in the gulfstream on our 12 hour trips. I'll have a bunch of updates and photos posted for everyone. Tight lines all!

    Hi Gang,
My name is Bruce Peters and I live and fish on Cape Cod. I have a 34' Ernest Libby down easter called "Marilyn S". I fished commercially for years on the west coast and here and started charter fishing in 1998. I do light tackle striper, blues and tuna charters from Chatham, Ma. I'm an avid hunter, preferring bowhunting deer, and try to get to the midwest every year if I catch enough giants in the fall to pay for the trip.
Just my second post here on this forum.
    Good Fishing to you all,
    Bruce

    10' Blue Marlin

    Just joined this site

I've fished for everything from sunfish in small ponds, native brook trout in one foot wide streams in RI to blue marlin on light gear off the west coast of MX. Best fish was a 10' blue marlin. Did a fair amount of traditional BFT fishing with friends 10-15 years ago in Mass Bay and Gulf of Maine, but got into run and gun a couple of years ago with some terrific charter guys out of GH. Live just south of Boston and got a Regulator 32 this season for run and gun BFT in Mass and Cape Cod Bay. Want to to a Hydro trip or two this summer for blue marlin provided I can get another boat to team up with and the right crew to handle being 120 miles south of Nantucket overnight and of course a good weather window. Boat has underwater transom LED's, so night in the Stream could be interesting. Recreational permit and will probably do C&R for BFT if I am fortunate enough to boat one every few weeks or so. Fish mostly with Stella 18k SW with topwater lures and a Daiwa Saltiga Expedition for jigging with Shimano butterfly jigs. Also will run with some Shimano 50w's with 130 blanks for BM and live BFT if things get slow on top. Won't necessarily target giants. Will get out for cod and haddock in late April and May then bft and maybe the Dump for mahi mahi in July-Aug. Definitely want to get out from Sept-Nov for BFT.

Hello, My name is Jim and I fish the south shore of mass from fresh water ponds to east of the bank, and when time permits down to the cape and islands. As a kid I mated on a boat out of quincy, and had dreams of running my own boat one day, I have my captains license but after seeing the hours it takes to the job right, I wouldn't run a charter boat for the life of me.

I'm married with 2 boys and work as an IT middleware specialist.

This weekend i'll be ground fishing in and around the bank, in a few weeks it's all Tuna till thanksgiving.

Great looking site you have here. - Jim

Hello guys my name is Ken age 42 this month and my home town is Bozrah CT.I am married and blessed with three beautiful daughters ages five fourteen and seventeen.I was introduced to the sea by my uncle fishing for blues and bass some time ago.My first boat was a 19 foot Sea Hunt CC I kept it for 5 yrs.The boat I have now is a 23 foot Hydro Sport Wa.I used to think catching striper's and blues was fun until a friend convinced me to go on a trip to the little fish tails somewhat close to Block Canyon for tuna. Now all I want to do is get to the blue water.I don't think I purchased anything to fish for bass or blues in the past two years its all for the pelagic.Shark,Tuna,Mhi,swords although i still enjoy cod fishing when they can be caught off Block Island.I know I will enjoy talking to you all again so by for now and good luck this season.
