Well Yeah !!!! LOLOL. No Problemo. JK !!!!

I happen to think some of UNH's folks are the best. Molly and everyone else in the Tag sector. Nuno and the "Tag a tiny" etc. I go back a way with those folks. They really do some great and necessary work on Marine projects.

    GO Black Bears !!!!!

    Greetings,
Endorfin - Sea Pro 238cc w/ 225 suzuki out Marblehead harbor. Fish mostly up in the NWC area, along with lots of inshore bass fishing. Been "lurking" for a few.....looks like a great board....Looking forward to sharing some info.

    Welcome aboard Capt!

    Nice rig you got there.

It's good to have another set of eyes and ears on the local waters.

    Tight lines,

    Knot

    Another New Guy

    Hey all,

My name is Kyle and I have a tuna problem.

I run east out of falmouth on my father's Fortier 30, generally with my father and two brothers. After two seasons in the tuna game I've come to realize a few things:

    1) I need to meet more people who fish out there to work with and learn from (generally we're on our own among the 100 boats that are out there)
    2) Some day I need to find a job that allows me to fish whenever NOAA tells me I should be fishing. This silly engineering profession simply doesn't allow me to obey NOAA enough.
    3) When you catch tuna, no matter how much you want to, do NOT eat it for lunch and dinner every day for several months in a row or you will be hospitalized for several days until the doctors finally decide to check your mercury levels and figure out that your levels are, well, toxic.

Looks like this board can help us next season with #1 but will likely not be good for #2 or #3.

Welcome Assisted Living! We can definitely help you with #1...as for #2 I think you're on your own We've got a good group of guys here, and a good number of them fish your area. Be positive, give as much as you take, and you'll have quite a few buddies to call come spring time.

    Shoe

By the way Saltyric- beautiful rig you've got there

My father actually. I guess on a scale of 0-100 you want to be in the 0-10 range. Above 50 is toxic. He scored a 54. Messed him up pretty good too. My brothers got tested about a month later after not eating fish the entire time and were still in the 30's so we were all up there. I never got tested because I had a pretty good basis to compare with. Theres really not much you can do about it, just lay off the fish and thermometers until it comes down. Takes a long time though.

    Welcome to SFC AssistedLiving!

As Shoe said, there are a lot guys that know what they are talking about on this site, keep your eyes and ears open and you'll definitely learn something.

I was thinking about Mercury levels when I ate raw tuna for like a week straight after I caught my first BFT.
