Hi all

Finally got my sponsorship in order, and can now post recklessly, LOL.

For those of you that don't know me from around the web or out on the water, Capt. Dom Petrarca, at your service. I run a charter outfit out of Newport RI, on a Contender 28 open, and recently acquired a sweet Ray Hunt custom CC that I will trailer around the northeast(and perhaps farther) to chase the hot tuna and shark bites. I have been a lurker here for some time, but all that will change, especially as I start bloodying my decks with FAT pelagic fish. I will report my efforts, and look forward to reading all of your fun adventures out on the waters of the North Atlantic!!

HELLO,

I dont know what took me so long to find this board but, I would like to thank Tuna Meltdown for mentioning it this past Saturday at the Tuna Seminar(I was eating lunch with ya).

I am 23 and a fishing addict like the other 99.9% of the guys here. I graduated from Mass Maritime in 07' with my 3rd Mates Unlimited/500 ton Master/Mate of Towing and make my living doing various jobs on the water. I have been fishing Buzzards Bay since I could walk and have been all over it in everything from my old aluminium skiff to trips in my 16 ft Carolina Skiff to the Islands and now with my current ride a ROS 24. I mostly fish Buzzard Bay and Vineyard sound for everything from Scup to Stripers and enjoy them all. I have been fortunate enough to go to the canyons about 25 times over the past few years and I hope to add to that number this year.

My goals for this year are to learn more about the inshore SBFT fishery we are so lucky to have. I have been spending the winter rigging and gathering information from as many as I can and lookforward to a great year on the water.

4/1/08...the beginning of the end.

Marc

Yep, lets splash that puppy and lay into some obese cod fish. I'm so sick of those guys just millin' around down there, sucking mud & clams all day, taking up space while I'm stuck here at work!

NEW TO SITE

I have been lurking for a while. Great site! I live in Boothbay Harbor and own an RP 40 commercial fishing for lobster and tuna. I have been lobstering all winter but can not wait to get out and chase some tuna and groundfish. Hopefully the fuel price will not kill my enthusiam. If you can land a few tuna this summer I think they will be worth some good money although it might be a wash with the price of diesel. I just can't wait to here one of those 130s go ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
