Hi
My name is Larry I am 28years old and started fishing at the age of 2. My grandmother took me down to a dock at green pond with a drop line and a box of sea worms. Needless to say I was hooked.
I do a majority of my fishing out of Falmouth but make my way up to the North shore for a few trips every year. I currently have a 21 ft Sea Hunt and slay the stripers. I live and work in Boston. I work in Sales for a software and services company. Besides being obsessed with fishing and everything to do with fishing. I watch a ton of sports(big Pat's Sox, B's guy), drink a ton of beers and love to BBQ. I still play hockey and played football for 4 years while I was at Bentley College. This is the year that I really want to get offshore and hook into some Tuna and a Mako. I look forward to meeting/fishing and swapping stories about the big ones with you all |

I'm 14 and live in Keene, NH. Lived in Oxford, MA south of Worcester until I was six. Grew up across from where the the French River is dammed by the Corp of Engineers in Oxford. I started fishing on that pond when I was one. Muskie, tiger muskie, pike, big bass. If anyone freshwater fishes around that area you may remember reading in the early 90's about record pike coming out of there. It's only a couple acres. We also have a 16 foot boat that we used in that area.
Dad had me on the head boats fishing for mackerel before I was able to reel them in. It's fun on freshwater gear. Then, when I was old enough, my dad started taking me on all day cod trips. Won the pool a few times (five) and loved it. April '06 we finally bought a used 21' boat. Fish out of Hampton, NH. First it was mackerel, then stripers and blues, then groundfish. (Don't forget the dogs) While fishing for (and catching) haddock on our first groundfishing trip on our boat my dad hooked into a tuna. Came up, was a 50 pound bluefin. Now we have tuna fever. Don't know a lot about how to catch them but we will try. Hopefully catch a few sharks, too. (not dogs) Favorite kind of fishing is groundfishing but that will probably change when we start shark and tuna fishing. Get some reports up when I go out. But the most important thing to say is Admin, please keep this forum. Good to see something like this happening. Fintan |
