This pictures had been through the ringer before I scanned it a while back.... and I took it with a shitty camera a long time ago...so in real bad shape.... but was taken the instant the pole hit this fish which is about 10 feet deep or so, so still kind of cool. Also kind of shows hot distorted the refraction makes things...he hit this one dead center but it looks like it is either missing the fish or just barely hitting the tail. We really never take a camera out when chasing fish and it gets put down before the pole is thrown, so pics like this are very few and far between...better than nothing!
I have more but thats enough for now.....gotta save some for later into the winter when things get really bleek!

Great shots Chris, Nothing like sinking that iron. That last shot really shows the skill needed for this fisheries. Also ends the discussion about "you can't stick em deep"
I like the one of your Uncle ?? on the boat with the wooden deck. and the Bushel baskets. AH, life before Plastic !!
Yup Wooden shafts and 70s hair.I like em ALL !!!!!
Thanks
Don
We'll patiently await the doom of winter for more "Stickin ****"![]()
These are deeper than they look, but still what you would call very, very, very hittable shots. The second one is an absolute barndoor shot...the top fish is a bit deeper- still very hittable, but just not as easy as the first one. Both are as close as you will ever get before throwing, and normally you dont get this close. You can still miss them, there is no sure thing when harpooning, but you would be quite frustrated if you did.
They were taken back in the general quota, years ago, when our boat already had its daily limit. Otherwise you would NEVER EVER be taking this picture, and would have already thrown the pole.
