    32 Topaz

I upgraded this year to an 04 32 Topaz. I love the boat. Has a great fishing platform and the comforts to stay over night. spent almost every weekend on the boat this summer. Handles very well in the seas. Got stuck a couple times in rough weather and always felt like I was going to make it home. Has twin 370 yanmars which have been very econimical. I agree the expenses do add up quick. Depends on how much work you want to do yourself. The engine room in the topaz is huge. Easy access to everything. One drawback is small fresh water tank. About 45 with hot water tank. 400 gallons of fuel gives great range. very big fish box. back opens up so cockpit/helm area is one open area. Your in a good market to buy and a lot of great deals out there. This boat was loaded with everything I could possibly think of and found a great deal. Well below your max. Good luck. There is a great thread on THT comparing the CC32 to the Topaz 32. Has great viewpoints on both boats.

Yes it is underpowered. Marginal at best. The tower is only going to add more weight to the problem. The F225s are light on torque and known to only generate 208 HP. My boat is a
31' Pursuit with twin F250s. After running her for 3 seasons, I can honestly say I would not want F225s on her. A 33'er with a tower would only exacerbate the problem. It would be sluggish and lousy fuel economy.
Also, FYI, I am putting mine on the market if you're considering other options.
Best of luck. Shopping is half the fun!

Edgewater, I saw your boat while walking the docks at hewitt's this summer, what a sweet ride! Best of luck with her.
