NEW APPROACH TO BLUEFIN TUNA FISHING

hi guys, mark sommers, steve, peter and paul from pleasantville, ny. enjoyed a excellent school bluefin bite saturday. we fished live pogies on kites for giants while at the same time the boys jigged and poped for smaller fish using avet reels and 6 oz. hammer jigs. no sitting around being bored waiting for the big one. pow! 10 am. line peels off, one hour later lose bluefin at boat, around 70 inches. set up again, 11 am. pow, almost dumped us, finally gaffed him. beauty around 150 lbs. 78 inches. finished day on the bank for cod. a very good trip. best, capt. jim
