Need Help Planning MA Fishing Trip
Hello,
I live in NC and my wife heads up to Old Orchard Beach, Maine to visit her family each summer around June/July. I am planning to trailer up my 24 Albemarle Express next summer. Would like to chase some stripers and bluefin in MA.
Would appreciate any help with suitable boat launching ramps/camping spots . I have a dually with an in bed camper that I stay in. I usually just stay at the boat ramp or a Walmart parking lot when fishing the coast in NC.
I heard the boat ramp behind Gloucester High School may be a good start and they have the Cape Ann Campsite not to far away. Gloucester is under 100 miles from Old Orchard Beach which would be an easy run.
Not familiar with MA fishing at all and would appreciate any help with the best place to launch and fish. How far of a run is it to get into the bluefin ? Probably will even have an open spot on the boat.
I am heading up next week without the boat and wanted to do a little pre scouting for next summer.
Thanks for the help.

Green Harbor in Marshfield might be a good bet. Easy to the bank and the bay. Great ramps and there is a campground at the edge of the harbor. It's off cape which if you know the summer cape traffic, is a big plus.

Theres a great boat ramp in Biddeford,ME on the Saco river. Plenty of room for parking. Its about a 25-30 mile trek out to Jeffreys Ledge from there. I know it's a bit further to trailer, but it's quite a bit closer to OOB.

Thanks for the replies. OOB is Old Orchard Beach, Maine. I will actually be based out of OOB next summer and had planned to trailer down south to MA to fish for Tuna.
