NBC world news will be filming a story about how Jeff Corwin is addicted to tuna fishing and his concerns for the fishery. The story will be related to the Oil Spill in the gulf and how BP should be held responsible for any damages that could be caused to bluefin tuna breading and spawn. The story's moral is to show how this spill is effecting all of the user groups of bluefin tuna from the fishermen who catch them to the people who eat them. We will be trying to get Jeff Corwin on a fish and film him catching it. To curb negative interest from radical environmental groups we will be releasing any fish caught "Including Giants". If any of you guys are fishing Friday 7/16 please monitor ch 69 and if you hookup please call me on the radio "FORTUNA" so we can film you catching and releasing a fish. ( Hopefully the Fortuna can put them on a fish?)

THIS IS NOT A STOP THE FISHING STORY! This will be a pro fishing story. Jeff loves tuna fishing and eating tuna he will be very sympathetic to our current issues. Jeff is a local guy from Marshfield and has his own boat "Snake Charmer". He tuna fishes on the bank often.

I hate the media too but if I get a chance to tell our side of the story I will. We need more media in our behalf and I know Jeff well, he will be pro fishing he is an outdoor guy himself. There is a lot of negative media regarding fishing and how we hurt fish. Now we get a chance to tell how someone is hurting the fishermen. He will also be mentioning the restrictions we have already set in place to save the fishery and how the BP spill could ruin all of that hard work.

I believe what you are doping is one of the most important things anyone could do for fishing and fisherman. Much of my family are fisherman and any good press that can be shed on the industry is vital. I think that the American people are on our side since the oil spill. No one wants people to loose their jobs and with the economy the way it is, it is even more important to protect this industry.

I will not be able to get out on Friday but I encourage any and all who can to support you in any way possible. If this is done right it could be a huge step in the right direction!!!!

I am pretty optomistic that Jeff will help us out. I have met him, hung out with him, rigged his tackle/boat for Christ sake. Jeff loves the fishery we have here,wants to see it last and does not want it to be taken out because of media bullshit and rich tree hugger marketing. He will talk the truth and be a good asset.

Shit, the guy is the reason my dad is still alive fishing today. Can't say enough good about him.
