Friday was a beautiful day on Long Island Sound. We sailed at 10am with Ben Moeling of Norwalk (currently stationed in Iraq,) along with John Kavounas of Greenwich and Sean Sharpless of Charlotte, NC. We headed for mid-Sound, where we found lots of bluefish on the surface, jigging up more than 20, weighing up to nine pounds.

We then made our way closer to shore, where the boys caught about four dozen porgies up to 14.5″, keeping just ten for the table.
