Exactly..... That double coverage opens up other recievers, with no deep threat, welker will be well covered!!

But then again we won 3 superbowls without that deep threat

Brandon Tate's speed will stretch the field. Look for him to be the next great reciever. Good bye Randy Moss.

Short term loss, long term upside for the future with one huge caveat: the 2011 draft.

I believe we now have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rounds (including the first rounder we got from the Raiders for Seymour). If we can hit on 3-4 of those picks, we'll be in great shape longer term. However, if we f*ck up next year's draft (I personally think BB really misses Pioli in that area), we're in serious trouble.

Until Tate produces; receiving defenses will not bring the safety over the coverage nor will they place their #1 corner on him. This move makes the field for the defense a lot smaller and Brady's job just got exponetially harder as did the other receivers jobs.

Which allows Tate to get away with a few before they catch on. Speaking of a few.... ??

    .......
That's my thoughts exactly....but....I'm glad they traded him in time to face the Jets next Monday....I love it.......like most guys that leave Boston...he'll probably play real good now......

Mark my words the Vikings will get a great year out of him on & off the field, year 2 a bit less, year 3 the honeymoon will be over !
Couldn't agree with you more. More trouble than he was worth.

Pats don't have D to win SB this year

Pats are a better team this year with Randy, but not good enough to win a Super Bowl. Coach B. nows this. Randy wasn't gonna sign a 2 year deal to stay, and that was all we were gonna give him, and should give him @ 33. Now we have 2 1st round picks, 2 2nd round picks, 2 3rd round picks, and 2 4th round picks in 2011. This was the right choice. 100% the right choice.
