    Montauk boat report.

Unbelievable weather everyday but Monday, flat and light winds. I've never seen it so nice, and the fishing so slow for 3 days.
We had albies on top every morning. They were keyed in on very tiny bait, and would not hit anything. You could spend an hour or two casting through them and get one or two strikes.
We spent some time jigging in 50' of water off the light. Slow pick of bass up to 17#'s and monster blues up to 15#'s. It's been a while since I saw a 15 pound bluefish!!
The boats that were fishing live porgies were catching some real pigs between 30 and 50+ pounds!!
Picked up a few more bass throwing pencil poppers along one of the rocky points, and supafly got 2 on the flyrod.
Monday had NNW winds 20-30. We fished the surf in a couple spots. Not much happening.
Had a fun trip, despite the slow fishing.

Yeh I hear you on the small baits. I got a damn blister casting to the Albies. Not one single tug from one!

We threw everything in the boat at 'em. Supafly did best getting half dozen or so on a deadly dick. I popped 3 on a small mega bait. And we had a couple on the fly, that's from casting through them for hours. Very frustrating!! There was talk about tossing out a snag hook to catch them!!

I wish I could have seen a picture of the scarecrow! I couldn't stop laughing.

Just picked at the bass at the Jetie Night in LP. Saw a couple popping bass when a small herd of mullies went through! Couldn't get any though.

That was some of the most frustrating fishing I have ever seen. I think I definitely have the jinx at Montauk.
