    Great Video

Dom how do you get such great videos when, like me, you are a one man show. Did you have someone on board taking the shot or was it a customer. I need to find a way to mount a camera as there is no way I could get shots like that.

Great job on the fish even though it got away. Thats whats make it interesting as I tell my sports if you caught everyone you hooked it wouldn't be as much fun. Very similiar to bow hunting whitetails..the ones you didn't take always stay in your minds eye..at least they do for me.

    Think Spring!!!

Law of averages, George! I miss so many more, being in the same boat(no pun intended) as you running solo. I do often give my camera to customers, and its a good camera/vid, but this one was from the customer's dad.

You are so right about the ones that get away. I remember them way more than the ones I catch...I still get that nasty pit in my stomach with 3 or 4 big fish who escaped that are many years gone now. The batting average on these fish over the last 2 season has gone way done, as has the number of anglers able to handle one solo. That really nice crop of high 40 inch and low 50 inch fish we caught in October in November should be just about the right size again for the small gear.

Looking forward to seeing you out there in 2011...only 84 days until April 15th. I hope it's a great year for both of us, Cap.

Captdom, Nice video and great effort. You talk about putting drag on the fish, but it appears that the angler keeps cuffing the reel. Something has to give, I don't care what type of rod it is. Im surprised your terminal tackle didn't fail before the rod!

That rod had a long but on it. Looks kinda awkward having the angler reach so far out to the reel.

Great video and stinks they lost the fish.
