We took 2 of my dad's client's out on Friday morning for some Stripers at the mouth of the Merrimack. After a little bit of a shaky start in the morning (the port engine wouldn't start... to make a long story short, it was my fault...I had two of the three batteries out the night before and missed of the ground wires as I was connecting them back up thus preventing it from starting) we were off and running out to Hampton shoals to jig up some live mackerel. Once we had about 15 mackerel in the livewell we ran down to the mouth of the Merrimack to cash them in exchange for some Stripers. First drift and within 10 minutes the 13 year old son of one of gentlemen we took with us was hooked up to a 34" bass. By far the biggest fish he had ever caught. When all was said in done we caught 5 fish 3 of which were keepers. I have included some pictures from my new Nikon D40's maiden fishing voyage for your viewing pleasure (including a picture of TowBoat US towing in the wreck that crashed into the jetty a week ago or so not much let of that boat). Happy Monday!!!
Nice job Jim...I gotta get out there before the macks are gone completely. New trailer plus typical boat problems have kept me off the water for a month (salt water that is). And i agree with Rich, that pic is kinda freaky. Never want that happening to me, that's for sure!
