Greg, Hope you and your family have a great time in Cabo. I will see you at the Seminar. We expect to hear some great fish stories and can't wait to see the video from Taylor & crew.

    I'M Back!!!!!

Looking back at the 2009 season got a good chuckle out of some of my older post's. Gave me some good past info to match up with weather and tides from last year.

Can't wait to start posting tuna reports for the 2010 season so I resurrected this thread to get ready for the big bite of 2010.

Just sprinkle a little paint around and get the boat in the water! Then get me a cup of coffee!

Good Luck Greg, I hope this season goes as well as last.
I'm looking forward to hearing about it. Hopefully I'll make it up there for a trip or two.

First tuna For MBG in 2010

    May 29th 2010
19;30 Last Night I received a call for a half day trip I did not have a trip today so the guy got lucky.
06;00 The Charter arrives late as they told me they would because they had small children.
    06:30 we leave Scituate harbor
07:30 The bars go in for the first time on Fortuna for this year. The Spread is Good and Plenty Short Right,Trick or Treat on the transom, Root Beer Short Left, 2 black and foil Make up the back two, And Dirty Oil in the five hole. All with Taylor Stingers.
    08:30 Still Trolling
08:45 Decide to make a move to the beach because we are planning to striper fish.
09:00 Bars Back in, same spread I explain to Corey do not get over excited if we hook up just stay calm like me.
09:15 BIG BOIL on dirty oil in the five hole.
09:16 I jump up like an excited Octopus in heat and start screaming obscenities at the fish who just missed the bar.
09:17 I am apologizing to the customer for bad language around children OOPS.
09:20 He's back on the dirty Oil a swing and a miss we tease the fish over and over. I finally let the rig back in free spool until it reaches the out back spread.
09:21 Fish ON happy new year 2010
09:22 I'm back screaming like a banshee to get the decks cleared, Corey is wondering what I meant by stay calm when we hook up.
10:00 We Land a nice 71.5 inch fish. using a fifty Shimano and five anglers in the rod holder. (IGFA waver no one else touched the rod at the same time)
10:30 catching striper's at the Race.
11:15 Head Back to the Barn
12:30 Just Sprinkle a little water around and get me a cup of coffee.

Nice job Greg. We went to trolling after we got a fish and had a fish come up in tight to the transom...just a boil no love. Congrats on breaking the ice for 2010!
