Fishinebb - Stew runs a great seminar also and it is a good Idea but I don't think he would appreciate his fans making unjustified comments or trying to compete with me. Stew and I are comrades in the industry. Our sons go to school together at Mass maritime Academy. We do not compete or even fish the same waters. I recommend the "Hookup" http://www.thehookupcapecod.com/ to any customers living or staying on The Cape all of the time. Seminars by Charter fisherman are an old Idea and a good one. I attend them often to learn from all types of fisherman. I have also run seminars for a number of years myself. This is the first time I have advertised our seminar on SFC so you may not have known about them before.

To all : Please refrain from commenting on our Tuna Report thread unless you have positive fishing information and News. Send a PM or start another thread if you want to be negative or you want to post your opinion.

Greg, well said. Been way too much negative comments on this forum this season for sure. I wish you nothing but the best with your seminar. We will be anouncing the date for our 3rd annual event very soon. Good luck. Capt. Eric

What a breath of fresh air.

It's funny because I have found fishing to be a sport where, too often, the pros don't seem to have the camerarderie they should. I have been to Eric's seminar and I thought it was great and I am sure Mass Bay Guides will be terrific. From what I can see you guys both run highly successful professional operations. It would seem to me that each of your success would have mutual benefit as the sport becomes more popular and awareness of this amazing fishery is heightened. As an educator and a coach I attend seminars put on by my colleagues in the hope of picking up one new thing, or a better way, or even just to affirm I'm doing things well.

In fishing I have found many guys who purport to know it all or they bristle at the mention of another Captains name, that is unfortunate. It's nice to see two guys here who are outstanding professional fisherman treat each other with respect and admiration.

The reason I joined this site was because I could sit at my computer, landlocked in Framingham, and live a little vicariously through you guys who are on the water everyday. It's fun to read the stories and feel connected and there really is no place for any of the name calling and bashing that sometimes takes place.

    Still Hot!!!! Oct 25th

We had a couple of girls and their dads out for a science project trip for a local high school. They needed a few dogfish for dissection in their science class.

12:00pm We left the dock and went to SW corner to see whales and catch dogfish. (noon)LOL
13:00 arrive on the corner and see some whales.
13:01 Taylor can't resists and puts a trick or treat Squid bar out.
13:02 "Fish on" Rips the bar out of Taylors hand.
13:03 The two fathers take turns reeling.
    13:20 We land a small 44" BFT
13:21 We start dog fishing / Mako fishing because we are where Taylor got the 624 Mako using the blood from the tuna to create a slick.
13:22 We have a Quintillion Dogfish around the boat.
14:00 Taylor shows them how to reach down and grab a dogfish by the tail.
14:01 The girls put down their fishing rods and start catching dogfish by hand ( No Crap we have it all on film )
15:00 after catching about 50 dogfish using nothing but their hands The girls and the dads decide they want to go tuna fishing again.
    15;05 We start trolling
15:10 Taylor has three rigs out.
15:11 "Fish On" Trick or Treat Again I guess it works best around Halloween.
15:12 The two girls take turns reeling.
    16:00 We land a nice 68" BFT
    17:00 Back at the Barn
17:01 Just Sprinkle a little water around and get me a cup of Coffee.

Ps: we spent a total of 11 minutes trolling for tuna
