7/11 Tuna Report
Fortuna: (Greg and Taylor) - Pretty banner day for the crew of the Fortuna. Started off with some "mowing of the lawn" out at the bank. Fish were crashing all around the boat, but couldn't get a hook in one. With a bit of an anxious charter on board, we decided to call it quits early on the tuna troll. So off to cod fishing it was. Had a great day on Cod! We got our limit before noon time. Headed back to the bank to drown some pogies...While filleting the last of the brown backs, bottom of the ninth, two outs...the kite bait goes off. A nice 65" fish in the cockpit!
Labrador: (Donnie and Kerry) - Donnie and Kerry spent most of the morning trolling, then decided to move onto bass fishing after landing a nice 81" fish!!!! Nice job guys! That makes the second sellable fish the Labrador has trolled up this year. Al Dente: (Nick and Bryan) - Nick and Bry worked their way from the bank to the East, changing gears from trolling to live bait along the way. At around 10:30, got a bite on the kite bait. Hooked up...but completely missed the show...They tagged and released a 65" fish. Great footage on the way!!! Not a bad day for the crew of MBG
