Wednesday Nov 3 2010 did a double header today with Dean Locke and my Wife Kat. I woke up Wednesday 5 am to see NO WIND checked the forecast and sent a text to Dean Want to go? He said I have to be back by 9 I have a 10 AM appointment. I said no problem I have to pick up my wife at 9:30 AM so we will be back . We pushed off and I didn’t even stop at the Inlet flew right back to the 1st spot I had Fish from Monday and with in 15 Minutes we landed 7 Bass with 4 big Keeper to 18 lbs. We picked up and headed west to the other spots I had them and the fish were exactly right where I left em . We landed a total of 20 fish in the 2 hours of fishing all on A-27 Diamond Jigs with Green Tubes. I left them biting and dropped Dean and his 2 Keepers at the dock and Picked up Kat.

Now it was Kat’s turn. By the time Kat got to the boat and we headed back out 10:30 AM I didn’t mark any more bait . I went back over all the spots I had fish with Dean but had no luck till we went way west to the place I left em biting . Thank God the water was FLAT calm and the temps were in the high 50′s for as soon as we stopped Kat landed her 1st keeper on the 1st cast and I felt a big relief lifted off my back. I’ve been wanting to get her back out on the boat but between school,finding a baby sitter for 5 AM and I the perfect day of fish biting and calm seas I knew this was gonna be it for her this year. We’ll maybe next week we’ll see…

We totaled 12 Stripers and Kept 2. We were all alone and had a really good time together. She out caught me but I really didn’t care for I made this trip all about her and wanted her to catch as many as she could. We did hook up into 1 very large fish it made 3 good runs so i knew it was over 20 lbs but it spit the hook after a long battle SOB but you can’t win them all. She did however land this Beauty
