MA Bragging Rights Tournament

It would be fun to set up a little tournament for SFC members in or around the Boston area sometime during the spring striper run. I was thinking the South Shore guys might be interested (Codfishshark, StriperBonesJones, kidIsurus, TunaMeltdown, Seacows, etc) but we could make it as big or as small as interest allows. Maybe some guys from up the North Shore would like to join (Captkev1??) as well as other SFC members i'm not aware of in the area, i'm sure there are many. It will be a one day tournament, we'll pick a Saturday or Sunday that works for everyone and let the games begin. We'll have a weigh station in a centralized location and try to put something together afterwards for a fish fry/beverage party.

Steve that sounds awesome, id love to do that, only problem is i already know id win No really only problem is i dont have one day off in the summer, we run seven days a week and im the only mate.

I think that could be a lot of fun...I have a feeling that the southern boys are going to take this one, but if we could have a dogfish category then us GOM guys might have a chance

Sounds like a good idea, nothing like some stiper fishing to start off the year right. Keep us updated as more info comes forward with this idea.

After being offshore for a few days and I come back to this post. What a good idea to get all of us together for some fishing and trash talking. This sounds like something alot of us will enjoy in the early season waiting for the international zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. But like Larry Bird once said "Whos coming in second?"

Dunn, what part of Quincy are you from, i'll be sure to keep you updated.

Seavee, are you thinking of coming up from RI for this?

Rory, with that attitude, you're fishing on "the yacht" with me as long as the weather allows, if not maybe we'll take the big boat.

Mike, just a one day tournament to get together with some members for some fishing and fun.. I was thinking the weekend of June 7th but again this is tentative as of right now. I know you're a fan of the night bite so maybe we could do a 12AM lines in on a Friday night and then lines out at 2 or 3pm on Saturday and folks could fish as little or as much as they wish.

If anyone else has any ideas/questions let me know so we can try to make this work for anyone who's interested.
