When I used to fish up there I stayed in Menemsha and always fished Gayhead & up the Squibnocket. Between Devils Bridge & Squibnocket always produced big Bass. They are there right now in big numbers.

Toms seems to be the place right now. I went out a couple fridays ago and we hammered the stripers, then last wednesday I worked my first shift ever as a mate (quite the experience) and we did fairly well, even got 1 in the mid 30# range. Went out last saturday and picked a few off the surface with poppers, nothing more exciting than top water plugging at the rips. But generally jigs on wire have been the ticket, you can try drifts with bait as well, hasnt produced for us, but never hurts to try. Goodluck and go get em.
I should be out there saturday if your around, Gail Force on 78! |
