To the low-life that stole all my rods...

To the scumbag that climbed onto my boat in my yard in Dennis MA, broke into my rod locker box and stole my 5 50wide set-ups and 3 Van Stall 275 Spinning rigs (all engraved with Offshore Angler).........I'll see you in hell! Please keep an eye out for my rods if you see them.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Sorry to hear about your rods, that's F....ed up. A fly shop i know up in NH had a bunch of rods and reels stolen about 2 months ago and we ended up finding them on ebay a week after they were stolen. called the local Police and they found the scumbag. I hope you find him. what kind of 50's, shimano? All shimano's have serial #'s on them. Were your van staals black, silver, gold. I'll keep my eyes open for ya on ebay and craigslist. I'd call all your local fishing shops and let them know to keep they're eyes open for someone thats looking to sell them. More than likely it could be someone local. Dirt bags!

You know that trip when you get in late and you're tired? You give the gear a quick rinse and say I'm going out in the morning too so I'll just lay them on the floor or leave them in the boat? We've ALL DONE IT!! Don't do it....there is someone waiting to take you stuff....trust me. I've left my gear out in a moment of laziness. I got my $9000 lesson last night...even though they were put away.

Thanks for the support! I have a program that searches Craigs List and Ebay. Now the battle with Insurance....oh boy!

Also check with the Pawn Shop at the end of Main St in Hyannis. Friend got 2 Shimano TLD 50's there not to long ago for short money. The person may turn them in there for some quick cash.

My buddies on the local PD's in the area said exactly the same thing. They say that particular place is a common landing spot for hot stuff.

Update!! Please keep and eye out!

    Riptide just sent me this....

"A friend of mine was telling me that there was a Guy at the West Port Ramp Monday trying to sell some Gear. He had a couple Rigs with VS's on them and , as he put it, a few 'Big trolling ' Set ups. Could be a 'Coincidence', but I'll see if I can get him to contact the Dennis PD. He did say it was a White Ford Ranger. If he will not, I'll pump him for as much info as I can and pass it on to you.

    Sorry to hear about this."

I drive by your house almost everyday and how someone would have the balls to come up into your yard and and check to see if there is anything to steal it's just pathetic, that's not teenage kids doing it for a rush, I am down by Mayflower Beach so in the summer it's rental heaven and sometimes teenagers are out rummaging through people's yards so I have taken to putting the rods in the basement and it sucks because after a long day when you're headed out at 4am the next morning who wants to deal with having to put them all away

let's hope someone sees something and not only do you get the gear back but the jerk off gets caught

Those Low lifes are Pro's at what they do, they must of seen you on the road with the setup then tailed you to your neighborhood. The same thing happens with snow skiies and snowboards that are left unsecured at the any Mt. and surfboards left anywhere strapped to the roof or in the backyard. They know what to look for! Personally I hate parking next to vans while surfing! Some Summer teenagers (assuming) recently stole the Green Saftey Turtle in front of my house but the year round residents know there are a few kids in this area.
