    Looking for a TLD 25

just finished trashing one whose drag knob has frozen up in trying to get it apart.

The other 2 are soaking in WD 40 for a week...

Shame on me for not backing off the drags at the end of the season.

Just a good idea when you store them over the winter...

Its a good idea to always store your reels in free spool with the clickers on. Any time my reels are not going to be around wet conditions they are in free spool.

turns out you can buy one new for 149$ - I didn't realize they were such short money.

The TLD 25 has a terrible drag knob which corrodes up inside the knob/drag ever assembly. If as I did - you do not loosen that knob before long extended storage - it freezes up every time.

And - vise grips are not a preferred solution as the knob screws onto the spool spindle and will strip it if too much pressure is applied.
