    Looking for a splicer

I have 3 Penn 50's, each with some amount less than 400 yards of Jerry Brown 130 on them. I need to top them each off with ~200 more yards of line.

Looking for someone with a set of splicing needles to help me with the task.

You can splice it the same way you make a loop with a peice of wire

    sigh.

    Maybe I wasn't clear.

I've hand spliced mono -> braid and braid -> braid many times before using the inchworm technique. If all else fails I can do that again.

I have created loops for many years using the V'd wire trip.

    I can do that myself.

I also have many tackle shops run by people I know and am friends with that I can take my gear to and have them do whatever I need.

I am looking to borrow a set of splicing needles, or even better drop by someone's abode who has a set to quickly get the task done.

All you need is a 4-foot piece of #7 wire. No needles required. I'll mail you one if you have no luck locally.

Honestly, i think the Latch hooks are a PITA in anything 130 and under and for colored braid they are even worse..
So i have found other ways to do splices. I like larry's reference to the inch worm method. i think everyone has been there.

I have used Monel and even Yarn darners (Regular Sewing Needles) The monel seems to be the most user friendly.

Larry, if it is Latch hooks you need/want you are welcome to my set, I never use them anyway. as a matter of fact i just let another friend use them yesterday. If you send me your address and i will mail them to you. You can give them back to me this season when you invite me to fish aboard "Skipjack"
