My family will be up in Eastham on the cape for about a week here coming up. I have been trolling around trying to find someone to fish with a day or two while I am up there. I really don't care what species is targeted and would travel a few hours to meet up for some fishing. I'll bring cash and a helping hand for prep/cleanup work. I am coming up from PA.
I'll extend the invite to any of you that may be interested in fishing the Chesapeake. I to a bunch of crabbing and some Striper fishing in the Bay. I have been offshore out of Md, De, and the Outer Banks on private boats and charter boats.
It doesn't sound like an option to charter a trip for just myself... I have heard that Provincetown rentals may get me a boat that I can take out to some decent Striper/Bluefish areas.
Nice intro, and I hope your vacation goes well- this is the best time of year for the Cape.
There are plenty of guys here who can help you. PM Seeker if you'd like to get out for the tuners...Riptide charters if you'd like to do some crazy ass, full throttle center console fishing for stripers and the like...and you can always shoot a message to 29topaz to see what his openings are like for the coming week. I'm sure there are others that I'm missing, but all three of these guys are good fishermen and would be a blast to spend the day with.
Good luck, and be sure to post up some pictures and a report when you get back.
Go over to Rock Harbor and check out the Charter Booth there (small booth in the parking lot, right at the bulkhead). They put together mixed charters. Pretty reasonable way to get out on your own if can't hook up with somebody.
Kinda funky there on the charter times - it's a tidal harbor that's inaccessible at low tide, so the start times change every day.
Fishing is damn solid in the bay right now, and all those boys in there know how to fish.

Yo Crabbeer
Laura Jay get's it done on the Bay side for certain.
His reply on the rock harbor gang is spot on.
You want to high octane fishing then Rip Tide will get you there. Capt Terry gets it done pronto.
We have charters and also run open seats if we'r not full. Will not begin off shore for just a bit until this whole NE wind finnaly shuts down
I don't know if Alex - 29 Tpoaz is chartering but he is very knowledgeable
I'll trade you a big disount for some SHOE FLY PIE
Lancaster County has some of the best folks in the world
I used to do considerable business with Kalas in Denver..great folks that cared as much about the enviroment as they did with profit. Rode the Tour of the Covered Bridges in Lancaster County but that was a couple of seasons ago....right Shoe! LOL
So welcome to Cape Cod hope your journey is safe and your vacation enjoys a bunch of fresh fish
Great suggestions guys.. I will be sure to bring some Shoe-Fly Pies and other good eats along. We take them to Michigan when we visit out there.
I am liking the idea of either the make up/open seat charter or renting a small boat out of Provincetown for bay fishing. First perference is a private boat to share expenses for the day but I know that can be tough for an out of town visitor.
