Live Pogies- Summer 2010 (South Shore area)

Would anybody be interested in buying live Pogies somewhere on the south shore (most likely Plymouth) next summer? I will be selling them for $5 a piece. I would most likely be selling the bait on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Please get in contact with me if you would be interested.

    Thanks,

    Cullen

you should be expecting a call from the Discovery Channel after they read this post. They have already contracted to put camera crews on the other pogie boats.

I'm intersted, but I would never fish a sat or sun with the weekend warriors, would you be available mid week also with a call?

Waking up a hour or two earlier each morning and netting my own bait for free and not paying $5 bucks a piece = Priceless!

I think they should outlaw the use of pogies for bait...that way the stripers can eat...

I was told by someone who's been gathering bait in that area for many years, that based on historical cycles, there will be less pogies than last season. And as you recall, last season's pogie herd sucked compared to '08. But, hey you never know.

Great, lets speculate and drive the price up some more. I heard they're going to be thick as flies and go back down to $3.

I will be catching my bait wherever there is a large supply, and then truck them to harbors such as Green Harbor. This way I will not have to count on the bait arriving in Duxbury this year. Please contact me if you are interested.

    Thanks,

    Cullen

So your going to clean out all the great bait spots for those of us that can actually throw a cast net and don't have money growing on trees to pay $5 bucks a piece? Thank you, because there is nothing better than grabbing your own bait in the morning and having dinner that was caught on it later that day

    Just my two pennies...
