First you have to give da wolf da R-E-S-P-E-C-T it deserves. It didn't get that nasty lookin cause of it's kind disposition. It's got TUDE.
Second you never ever stick nuthin near that yap that you don't want it to kiss for the next 12 hours...includes your boot...this is not a Teva friendly game
Third you find yourself a rocky bottom in some deep water where the wolf can hide in a hole or among the rocks...notice it's skin color .....CAMO
Fourth...and you can really appreciate this....you can't get em with plastic....not hardly ever ...nope they like the meat...sea clams are favored...
Fifth you don't usually have them fall off the hook on the way up from say 250 feet...go back and read number two
Sixth...We catch them semi regularly but you can't really target em..more of an opportunistic deal...but you catch them will cusk and hake two other equally beautiful deep dwellers....
Seventh...catch one and put a gaff handle near it's mouth..it crunches the handle and will hold on for three days after the fillets are off
Eigth...don't ever and we mean ever try to lip one
Ninth The fillets are superb table fare..wicked firm white meat with the taste of lobstah tail ...casue they like eatin lobstahs
Tenth...just spend some more time up here and we can try and get ya one of your own
There the one of the best eating fish I've ever had. The one in the top was the 1st wolf I've seen take a jig. They really won't unless its right in front of it and in their territory.
